Executive Vice President of Development
Mr. Mulata is the Executive Vice President of Development, leading acquisition and development activities for the company. He has 20 years of experience in real estate development, concentrated in ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects.
At Dalian, Mr. Mulata oversees a multi-market development portfolio across the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Texas, spanning the full spectrum of housing—including affordable, market-rate, and mixed-use development.
Prior to joining Dalian, Mr. Mulata was Development Director at The Howard Hughes Corporation, where he managed day-to-day development activities for retail and residential projects in the Merriweather District, a 14 million square foot mixed-use redevelopment in Columbia, MD.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Mulata worked in multifamily development and acquisitions with firms including Larkspur Development, KB Home, and Polaris Development Group.
Mr. Mulata holds a B.S. in Finance from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
